Job Description
Provides rapid communications support for UNFPA humanitarian responses in the Philippines. The officer documents field operations, develops situation and donor materials, produces ethical multimedia stories, monitors digital narratives and coordinates verified content with affected communities, partners and response teams.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Draft situation reports, flash updates, operational briefs and emergency key messages
- Document field response through ethical photography, video and informed-consent interviews
- Research and produce human-interest stories, photo essays and beneficiary profiles
- Create and edit social-media videos, infographics, captions and digital content
- Monitor misinformation, emerging narratives and public engagement on digital platforms
- Consolidate verified field information for donor and operational communications
- Coordinate content collection with programme teams, partners, government and UN agencies
- Apply safeguarding, data-protection and survivor-centred communication standards
Role Requirements
- Relevant qualification or equivalent in communications, journalism, multimedia, public relations, international relations, social sciences, humanitarian studies, community development or a related discipline
- At least three years of progressively responsible communications, journalism, multimedia or humanitarian-communications experience
- Experience producing communication products under tight deadlines
- Professional photography, videography and video-editing capability
- Ability to travel at short notice and work in emergency environments
- Knowledge of informed consent, safeguarding, data protection, PSEA and Do No Harm principles

Desired Criteria
- Previous United Nations or humanitarian-agency experience
- Familiarity with humanitarian coordination and emergency-response documentation
- Drone-operation certification
- Basic GIS or mapping knowledge
- Experience with donor-visibility requirements
- Knowledge of local dialects

- The Humanitarian Emergency Response roster may retain candidates for up to six months without guaranteeing recruitment
