Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support human-resources operations and projects aligned with business needs and WFP policies
  • Respond to managers' and staff members' queries and ensure HR policies, processes, systems and tools are correctly applied
  • Administer staff conditions of service, contracts and entitlements
  • Organize staff-development solutions based on individual capabilities and business requirements
  • Deliver onboarding activities that integrate new employees into WFP
  • Support managers with recruitment, retention and workforce-development solutions
  • Contribute to organizational-design work on structures, jobs and workforce allocation
  • Collate HR data and prepare accurate and timely workforce reporting
  • Conduct straightforward data analysis to support projects and process improvements

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in human resource management, public or business administration, industrial psychology or another relevant field
  • At least five years of overall experience, including three years of professional managerial or supervisory human-resources experience
  • At least one year of the professional experience must have been gained after postgraduate study
  • Fluency at level C in English and in the duty station's language if different
  • Bangladeshi nationality
  • Accurate and verifiable application documents

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of human-resources practices, techniques and processes
  • Ability to support junior or less-experienced team members
  • Ability to compile and analyse data and draw initial conclusions
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn UN and WFP processes and systems
