Overview
Leads outreach and capacity building for WFP’s informal workplace-conflict system while providing confidential ombuds and mediation services. The officer develops campaigns and training, advises personnel, identifies systemic trends, coordinates the annual report and briefs senior leadership and Member States.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Ombuds Office outreach and communication strategy
- Produce informational and educational conflict-resolution materials
- Lead engagement campaigns and respectful-workplace visibility initiatives
- Design and deliver conflict-prevention and resolution training
- Provide confidential coaching, mediation and informal conflict-resolution services
- Identify workplace patterns and provide early-warning advice
- Coordinate drafting, publication and dissemination of the annual report
- Prepare briefings and strategic advice for leadership and Member States
Requirements
- Advanced degree in conflict resolution, social sciences, law, human resources, organisational development, communications or a related field, or a first degree with additional experience or training
- At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in conflict resolution, mediation, organisational communication or a related area
- Experience leading communication strategies and capacity-building programmes
- Experience providing mediation or informal conflict resolution under international ombuds standards
- Fluency at level C in English
- Intermediate knowledge of a second official United Nations language or Portuguese
