Job Description

Three volunteers will research funding opportunities and produce donor-aligned grant proposals for Action Lab for Development's entrepreneurship, open-source software and responsible-AI initiatives. The assignment builds resource-mobilisation capacity through proposal narratives, donor requirements and polished drafts that support digital inclusion, innovation and enterprise development.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Research assigned funding opportunities and donor priorities
  • Develop three tailored grant proposals
  • Prepare proposal summaries, needs statements, objectives, activities and sustainability strategies
  • Align proposals with programme priorities and donor requirements
  • Adapt proposals to donor questions, formats and word limits
  • Review and refine proposals for clarity and donor alignment
  • Incorporate internal feedback and prepare final drafts

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in an organised manner
  • Access to a laptop and stable internet connection

Desired Criteria

  • Grant-writing and formal-correspondence experience is preferred
