Job Description
Leads financial-risk management, reporting and assurance work for UNDP’s Office of Financial Resources Management in Madrid. The specialist improves risk policies and the HACT framework, manages Annual Representation and SICFR processes, analyses IPSAS statements, validates ERP data, supports audit engagements, and provides guidance on financial risk and internal controls to UNDP offices.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead financial risk management policies, frameworks and tools
- Lead the Annual Representation Exercise and SICFR risk framework
- Conduct IPSAS-compliant reporting analysis and validate ERP outputs
- Support engagement with internal and external auditors
- Provide technical guidance on complex financial risk and internal-control matters
- Prepare financial analysis and reporting for key stakeholders
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in finance or accounting, or a professional accounting qualification, or a bachelor's degree with two additional qualifying years
- At least five years of relevant financial management or reporting experience with a master's degree, or seven years with a bachelor's degree
- Experience with IPSAS or IFRS
- Experience with ERP financial systems
Desired Criteria
- Professional accounting qualification from an accredited institute
- Audit experience
- Prior UN or UNDP experience
- Experience producing senior-management analytical insights and briefing materials
- Working knowledge of another UN language
