Overview

Provides confidential executive and administrative support to UNDP’s Resident Representative, managing priorities, correspondence, meetings and commitments. The role coordinates information across programme and operations teams, supports budgets and procurement, and maintains efficient office administration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Resident Representative’s agenda, priorities and official commitments
  • Review, route and follow up incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Organise meetings and prepare minutes, action summaries and briefing materials
  • Draft correspondence, reports, notes, translations and internal documents
  • Maintain confidential files and automated document-management systems
  • Coordinate information with programme, operations and United Nations country-team mechanisms
  • Support budget monitoring, financial reporting and Quantum adjustments
  • Arrange procurement, contracts, travel, events and other office logistics

Requirements

  • Completed secondary education
  • At least six years of relevant secretarial, administrative or programmatic experience with secondary education, or three years with a bachelor’s degree
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Experience using computers, office software, web-based management systems and digital office tools
  • Residence in Costa Rica
