Early Childhood Development Programme Specialist

Supports UNICEF Egypt’s early childhood development programming by coordinating implementation, monitoring results and engaging government and partner stakeholders. The assignment contributes research, reporting, field follow-up and knowledge management across health, parenting, education and child-development initiatives.

• Support implementation of the Child Survival and Development workplan with an early childhood development focus
• Research and analyse development trends to inform programme design and preparation
• Coordinate programme documentation, budgets, meeting records and follow-up with implementers
• Participate in programme reviews and prepare results reports for management and partners
• Monitor resource use and compliance with allocations, rules and donor commitments
• Undertake field visits and support partnerships with government and national stakeholders

• Experience supporting programme implementation, coordination, research or technical assistance
• Experience with early childhood development interventions in community or nursery settings
• English proficiency

• Experience with government institutions, UN agencies or NGOs in policy advocacy or programme implementation
• Experience supporting trainings, facilitation or technical materials
• Knowledge of nurturing care, developmental screening and integrated early childhood development approaches
• Familiarity with UNICEF programming and the UN system
