Builds and improves data systems, analytics and monitoring products for the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Afghanistan. The role turns national and UN data into decision-ready dashboards, reports and learning products, while strengthening statistical capacity, data quality and collaboration across government, UN entities, donors and civil-society partners.

• Develop databases, data collection systems and analytics strategies that improve statistical quality
• Analyze structured and unstructured information to identify trends, features and variables
• Produce dashboards, reports and visualizations that communicate findings to management
• Support monitoring, evaluation and learning products for Cooperation Frameworks using approved indicators and tools
• Strengthen national statistical capacity through coordinated technical assistance and data-partner convenings
• Deliver training and data clinics on analytics, evaluation and results-based management

• Advanced degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, information management, data management, information systems, information science, economic or social sciences, or a related field
• A first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in data manipulation and data analysis
• English, Pashto and Dari are required
• Open to nationals of Afghanistan only

• Certificate in data engineering, data management or cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is desirable
• Programme or project-management skills are desirable
• Experience developing training programmes and curricula is desirable
