Job Description
The UN Resident Coordinator Office seeks a Data Specialist in Maputo to strengthen data-driven coordination of the Cooperation Framework. The role builds databases, collection systems and analytics; produces dashboards, reports and visualisations; improves data quality and flows; leads data products and capacity building; and supports monitoring, evaluation and learning with national.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop databases, data-collection systems and analytics strategies
- Identify and interpret trends in structured and unstructured data using statistical methods
- Develop reporting and quality-control capabilities and identify data sources
- Create dashboards and data visualisations for management decision-making
- Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to improve data flows and quality
- Deliver data-analytics training and support the monitoring, evaluation and learning cycle
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in a relevant data, computing, statistics, information-management, economic or social-science field, or first-level degree with two additional years of experience
- At least five years of experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Demonstrated data storytelling and visualisation skills using Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or R
- Demonstrated quality assurance of data-analysis outputs
- English and Portuguese are required
