The UN Resident Coordinator Office seeks a Data Specialist in Maputo to strengthen data-driven coordination of the Cooperation Framework. The role builds databases, collection systems and analytics; produces dashboards, reports and visualisations; improves data quality and flows; leads data products and capacity building; and supports monitoring, evaluation and learning with national.

• Develop databases, data-collection systems and analytics strategies
• Identify and interpret trends in structured and unstructured data using statistical methods
• Develop reporting and quality-control capabilities and identify data sources
• Create dashboards and data visualisations for management decision-making
• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to improve data flows and quality
• Deliver data-analytics training and support the monitoring, evaluation and learning cycle

• Advanced university degree in a relevant data, computing, statistics, information-management, economic or social-science field, or first-level degree with two additional years of experience
• At least five years of experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Demonstrated data storytelling and visualisation skills using Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or R
• Demonstrated quality assurance of data-analysis outputs
• English and Portuguese are required
