Supports UN Women’s country portfolio evaluation in Papua New Guinea as a national evaluation-team member. The consultant reviews evidence, helps design inclusive methods, supports interviews and consultations, contributes analysis and findings, and prepares English deliverables that meet UN Women quality standards.

• Review strategic notes, project documents, monitoring reports, evaluations and audits
• Contribute to an inclusive evaluation methodology and inception report
• Translate data-collection tools and provide interpretation support when needed
• Support interviews, focus groups and consultations while following ethical guidelines
• Analyse results, challenges, evidence gaps and learning
• Contribute to preliminary findings, presentations, synthesis reports and annexes
• Submit confidential evaluation data in Word, PowerPoint or Excel formats

• Master's degree in a relevant field or a bachelor's degree with 2 additional years of qualifying experience
• At least 5 years of experience conducting research, evaluations, reviews or assessments with development organisations
• Expertise in gender equality, women's rights and women's economic empowerment
• Knowledge of Papua New Guinea and experience working in the country
• English fluency and ability to communicate in Tok Pisin
• No involvement in designing or implementing the UN Women interventions covered by the evaluation

• Familiarity with UN Women or the United Nations system
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder-engagement, interpersonal and teamwork skills
