Overview
WHO seeks a Coordination Officer to support Bhutan’s Minister of Health with policy analysis, strategic coordination, programme monitoring and executive communications, aligning government, development-partner and international assistance with national health priorities.

Responsibilities
- Analyse Bhutan’s health policies and programmes and identify gaps and improvement priorities
- Provide evidence-based recommendations on policy formulation and implementation
- Coordinate government, international and development-partner assistance with national health priorities
- Monitor and evaluate health-policy and programme implementation
- Prepare reports, briefs, presentations and communications for senior health officials
- Support five-year-plan formulation and alignment with international commitments
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public policy, public health, public administration or a closely related discipline
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in health preparedness coordination, public-health workplans, policy research or data analysis
- Excellent written and spoken English and Dzongkha
- Eligibility for local recruitment within the Thimphu commuting area
