Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational, administrative and financial aspects of projects
  • Monitor project implementation and recommend actions to address gaps
  • Develop work plans, budgets, monitoring tools and SOPs
  • Coordinate collection, verification and analysis of project data and background information
  • Prepare and disseminate project reports under IOM and donor requirements
  • Liaise with donors, partners, UN agencies, authorities and government counterparts
  • Plan and deliver capacity-building activities for staff, government, civil society partners and communities
  • Supervise and train project staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field with two years of relevant professional experience, or master degree in a relevant field
  • Experience liaising with governmental authorities, national and international institutions, UN agencies and NGOs
  • Experience working with migrants in border management, returns and readmission, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking or other vulnerable groups
  • Experience in project management and results-based management, including bilateral donor programmes and reporting
  • Fluency in English and working knowledge of Finnish is required
