Overview
Develops oral-health policies, surveillance systems and primary-care integration across Pacific Island Countries. The consultant supports national plans, adapts indicators, analyses data and helps countries embed preventive and essential oral-health services within NCD, UHC and healthy-settings programmes.

Responsibilities
- Develop or update national oral-health policies and plans in targeted Pacific Island Countries
- Review population and facility oral-health data and prepare country profiles identifying surveillance gaps
- Adapt global oral-health indicators for regional monitoring and accountability systems
- Integrate oral-health measures into tobacco, alcohol, nutrition and sugar-reduction programmes
- Support inclusion of essential oral-health services in universal health coverage benefit packages
- Prepare assessments and policy recommendations for older-person oral-health integration
- Embed oral-health prevention in schools, workplaces and communities
- Build capacity among primary-care and community providers for essential oral-health interventions
Requirements
- University degree in dentistry or a related field
- At least five years of clinical oral-health experience
- Knowledge of clinical oral health and public-health interventions in resource-limited settings
- Ability to work effectively across varied educational, professional and cultural backgrounds
- Fluency in English
