Summary of Responsibilities
- Review the existing medicines policy, evaluation findings and pharmaceutical-sector gaps
- Develop policy objectives, priority interventions and implementation mechanisms
- Draft a revised National Medicines Policy with a costed implementation and accountability framework
- Conduct consultations with technical experts, agencies and professional bodies
- Facilitate stakeholder validation and policy-finalisation processes
- Provide recommendations on governance and implementation arrangements
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Policy, Pharmaceutical Systems or a related field
- At least seven years of senior-level health-systems governance and pharmaceutical-sector experience
- At least ten years of experience in Ghana's pharmaceutical sector
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Expertise in developing national medicines policies, strategies and guidelines
Desired Criteria
- Ability to operate credibly and effectively at senior administrative levels
