Policy Advisor

Lead policy engagement for sustainable energy in displacement and fragile settings. The advisor influences global and national frameworks, equips partners with policy and advocacy tools, builds alliances and converts commitments into financing, technical-assistance and implementation opportunities.

Department: Global Platform for Action on Sustainable Energy in Displacement Settings

• Develop the platform’s policy advocacy strategy
• Influence international and national energy and displacement frameworks
• Analyze energy policies, investment plans and climate-finance instruments
• Identify high-impact policy entry points for displaced communities
• Coordinate partners around shared advocacy positions
• Develop policy language, briefs, model clauses and guidance
• Convert policy commitments into delivery and financing opportunities
• Track policy influence, partner uptake and implementation progress

• Relevant advanced university degree, or bachelor's degree with two additional years of experience
• At least seven years of energy, climate or humanitarian policy experience
• At least three years at senior-management level
• At least five years in programme coordination, partnerships, policy or strategy implementation
• Fluent English
