Job Description
WFP seeks a Communications Assistant in Kathmandu to develop content and communications services that strengthen visibility, reputation and fundraising. The role coordinates communication plans and production, monitors media, researches WFP priorities, creates digital and creative content, manages multimedia and media-contact records, supports staff and partners with communications.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of communications plans for target audiences
- Coordinate production of communication materials, events and multimedia projects
- Monitor traditional and social media and report relevant information
- Research priority areas and compile inputs for briefs and visibility reports
- Prepare video, audio, graphics and images for social media and print
- Upload media files and publish content through approved platforms
- Maintain journalist and media-contact databases
- Liaise with WFP staff and partners to support aligned communications
Role Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education
- At least five years of progressive experience in communication activities and strategies
- Fluency in oral and written English and Nepali
Desired Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in media, communication, digital marketing or journalism
- Experience with graphic-design and video-editing tools
