Civil Engineer

Manages civil engineering works in Ukraine from design through handover, supervising contractors, reviewing technical documentation and controlling quality, cost, schedule and HSSE compliance while coordinating authorities, beneficiaries and project partners.

• Plan and supervise civil engineering projects from design through completion
• Review designs, bills of quantity, cost estimates and technical submissions
• Inspect construction sites and verify quality, quantities and specifications
• Monitor contractor performance, project schedules, costs and payment claims
• Coordinate permits and approvals with authorities, beneficiaries and partners
• Manage HSSE, environmental and community-engagement risks
• Maintain site, incident and progress records and prepare periodic reports
• Support commissioning, handover, project closure and technical knowledge sharing

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, structural engineering or a related field with two years of relevant experience, or a relevant master’s degree with no experience
• Relevant experience in civil engineering, structural works, construction technology, construction supervision or monitoring
• Intermediate English
• Fluent Ukrainian
• Eligibility as an internal candidate

• Professional certification or membership in a civil engineering association
• Experience in multicultural or UN system environments in a developing country
• Experience in development or humanitarian contexts
