Job Description

Supports UNDP’s Small Grants Programme in Bolivia by coordinating community project delivery, grant administration and financial controls. The associate works with civil society, government and donors to monitor results, maintain programme records and strengthen knowledge sharing, communications and environmental action.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support daily implementation of Small Grants Programme projects and work plans
  • Screen project concepts and grant proposals, including financial assessments
  • Advise grantees on project preparation processes and programme requirements
  • Monitor project implementation, grievance handling and evaluation activities through field visits
  • Review financial documentation and process payments to grantees and suppliers
  • Maintain grant disbursement schedules, operational budgets and programme financial records
  • Organise steering-committee meetings, events and stakeholder communications
  • Maintain project, stakeholder, administrative and asset-management databases

Role Requirements

  • Secondary education
  • At least six years of national or international programme or project administration experience with secondary education, or three years with a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing territorial projects with community actors, Indigenous peoples and NGOs
  • Fluency in Spanish

Desired Criteria

  • Financial training experience for local actors
  • Experience with monitoring, evaluation and results-based management tools
  • Advanced office software, spreadsheet, database and web-based management-system experience
  • Advanced studies in administrative finance
