Job Description

Supports UN Women Guatemala's country-office communications by producing digital content, coordinating media outreach and maintaining the tools that sustain its public presence. The assignment contributes to campaigns, press materials and knowledge exchange that make work on gender equality, women's empowerment and violence prevention more visible to national audiences and partners.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide context and logistical support for country-office communication and advocacy strategies
  • Produce graphic content and maintain website and social-media channels
  • Develop press releases, articles, key messages and other promotional materials
  • Maintain media databases and compile inputs for briefing points
  • Document events through photography and video and support media relations
  • Organize communication training, knowledge exchange and digital or media projects
  • Coordinate production of communications materials with translators, printers and other suppliers

Role Requirements

  • At least 2 years of general experience
  • Experience developing graphic materials or supporting internal or external communications strategies
  • Experience maintaining social-media and digital-communications channels
  • Relevant university studies in communications or information science with social-media design experience
  • Spanish

Desired Criteria

  • University studies in communications or graphic design
  • Experience in communication for development, human rights, gender equality, the 2030 Agenda or violence prevention
