Job Description

Supports Mexico’s Sinergia+ project by coordinating technical and administrative follow-up for international designations of protected areas. The assistant consolidates evidence, tracks commitments, prepares documentation and helps organise training, partnerships and designation processes.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with regional and protected-area directorates to consolidate reports and track projects linked to international designations
  • Support meetings, events and workshops concerning international designations and related projects
  • Prepare reports, minutes, files and other material needed to follow up institutional agreements and commitments
  • Integrate and systematise technical information in response to designation-related information requests
  • Plan and support training for personnel managing protected areas and other conservation modalities with international designations
  • Prepare and review documentation for the nomination, update, renewal, expansion or modification of international designations
  • Coordinate with national and international institutions and partners on designation processes and matters of interest to CONANP

Role Requirements

  • High school certificate with at least five years of proven experience in conservation and sustainable project management and follow-up, or a bachelor's degree in public administration, economics, political science, tourism, biology or a related field with two years of experience in the same areas
  • Experience preparing technical reports
  • Mexican citizenship with full civil rights, or immigration status permitting the work
