Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of FAO projects and programmes in Tonga
- Advise government counterparts on agriculture and food-systems policy
- Develop project proposals and support national resource mobilisation
- Monitor programme delivery, workplans, compliance and corrective actions
- Maintain country data on agriculture, fisheries, forestry and external aid
- Build partnerships with donors, civil society, academia and business
- Supervise and train programme staff
Requirements
- Tongan nationality
- Advanced relevant university degree with three years of experience, or first-level degree with five years
- Relevant experience in food and agriculture programming or project implementation
- Working knowledge at Level C of English and Tongan
