Overview
Advise ICRC Lebanon on engagement with armed and security forces, supporting strategy, training and dialogue on international humanitarian and human-rights law. The adviser builds military networks, analyses security dynamics, represents the programme and reports on activities and operational concerns.

USD 3,018–4,408 / monthly
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and evaluate training for armed and security forces on humanitarian and human-rights law
- Contribute to the armed-forces programme strategy and annual planning
- Develop and maintain contacts with military and security authorities
- Monitor political and security developments and analyse armed actors
- Provide programme advice on security matters and support other delegation teams
- Represent the regional programme delegate when required
- Promote cooperation between ICRC and Lebanese armed and security forces
- Complete activity reports and contribute to institutional reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor degree
- Intermediate-level military staff college education
- At least fifteen years of experience including operational planning and deployments
- Rank of Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel with command experience
- Fluent Arabic and full professional English
- Legal eligibility to work in Lebanon
