Job Description
Supports the ICRC Afghanistan delegation with needs assessments, situation and problem analysis, monitoring, evaluation and operational information management. The specialist develops evidence for programme design and strategy, maintains databases and reporting tools, supports evaluations and reviews, trains colleagues, and integrates accountability to affected populations and gender perspectives.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of assessment, analysis, monitoring and evaluation plans
- Maintain and update Analysis & Evidence databases
- Perform data cleaning, management and analysis and set up regular reporting tools
- Contribute to evidence-based decision-making on programme design and implementation
Role Requirements
- Advanced University degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, GIS, Political Science, or another related field
- Very good command of English and intermediate knowledge of another ICRC language (French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic)
- Typically, 6-9 years of professional experience in needs assessments, monitoring & evaluation, operational information management or a closely related area
Desired Criteria
- Proven field experience in supporting surveys and multiple assessments
- Relevant humanitarian experience in ICRC, Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement, UN agencies or NGOs
- Familiarity with early warning, econometrics and geo-analysis
