2Read the centre’s country or regional mandate
A UNIC can serve one country, several countries or a regional audience. Review the job description for its local languages, audience, media environment, partnerships and reporting structure. For example, a Director, Information Centre role is not simply a generic communications job: it can require leadership of public outreach in a particular national context and coordination with the Resident Coordinator Office.
3Check locally relevant eligibility requirements
