UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) – Insurance and Nature Junior Consultant

Supports the Principles for Sustainable Insurance Working Group for Nature by developing risk methodologies, researching nature-related financial risks, coordinating member consultations and piloting, and engaging insurers and technical advisers across the global sustainable-finance network.

• Develop nature-related risk methodologies for the insurance sector
• Research nature and insurance risks and translate findings into member recommendations
• Manage member consultations and coordinate piloting of draft approaches
• Coordinate working-group and technical-advisory meetings, materials and follow-up
• Maintain member engagement through regular portal and email updates
• Prepare briefing and coordination materials for nature and insurance events
• Report progress to the PSI Secretariat and UNEP FI Nature Team

• Master’s degree in environmental management, geography, finance, economics, risk management, international relations or a related discipline, or bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience
• At least one year of relevant experience in the environmental non-profit, financial-services or consulting sector, or applied sustainable-finance research
• Fluency in English and Spanish

• Knowledge of insurance and risk-centre work
• Experience writing reports, managing working groups or supporting risk integration
• Interest in nature-related risk and sustainable finance
