Summary of Responsibilities
- Assess innovative public, private, blended and results-based finance for super-pollutant mitigation
- Undertake outreach to development banks, governments, investors and financial institutions
- Advise the CCAC Board on opportunities, limitations and financing roles
- Design and facilitate an innovative-finance session at the CCAC Annual Meeting
- Develop concrete financing options with interested development banks
- Draft recommendations for the updated CCAC Finance Strategy
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in a listed or relevant field
- At least 15 years of relevant professional experience
- Senior experience with multilateral development banks or development-finance institutions
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience with methane finance, super pollutants or related climate issues
- Familiarity with Article 6, carbon markets, thematic bonds or innovative-finance mechanisms
- Knowledge of other UN official languages
Skills to Have
Additional info
- Remote consultancy for eight months.
- Participation is required at CCAC Board and Annual Meeting sessions in Bangkok.
