Job Description

Lead national quality assurance for Viet Nam’s 2026 Country Gender Equality Profile, reviewing the full report and four priority chapters, coordinating thematic reviewers, resolving cross-chapter issues and verifying that agreed evidence, policy and editorial corrections are incorporated.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Establish the review framework, source hierarchy and version-control process
  • Assess the full report’s structure, analytical coherence, balance and recommendations
  • Conduct detailed technical review of Chapters 1, 2, 3 and 6
  • Verify demographic, health, education, gender-based violence and leadership evidence
  • Flag material factual, statistical, legal, policy and reputational issues
  • Guide other national reviewers and promote consistent technical standards
  • Consolidate overlapping, conflicting or incomplete comments for UN Women decisions
  • Verify the final revised report and cross-chapter consistency

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in gender studies, public policy, governance, political science, law, social sciences, development studies or a related field
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in gender equality, governance, public policy, women’s leadership or related fields in Viet Nam
  • Experience leading quality assurance or technical review of major analytical reports, national assessments, policy studies or comparable multi-author publications
  • Knowledge of Viet Nam’s gender-equality, governance and leadership context, including relevant frameworks, mandates and official data sources
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary experts and consolidating comments from multiple contributors
  • Excellent English and Vietnamese drafting, editing and presentation skills

Desired Criteria

  • Familiarity with CEDAW, the Beijing Platform for Action, the Sustainable Development Goals and other gender-equality standards
