Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the TARABOT project in line with annual work plans
- Coordinate project activities, staff, consultants and performance management
- Prepare terms of reference, concept notes and implementation reports
- Manage project resources in accordance with UNDP rules and donor agreements
- Provide technical advice on preventing violent extremism and social cohesion
- Build partnerships with UN agencies, national institutions and development partners
- Strengthen knowledge management, learning and information sharing across UNDP networks
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, law, international development, management or a related field
- Or a Bachelor's degree in the listed fields with 2 additional years of experience
- At least 7 years of experience with a Master's degree or 9 years with a Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing development programmes or projects
- Demonstrated experience managing teams
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing institutional partnerships
- Proficiency in French and good knowledge of English
Desired Criteria
- Expertise in security-sector reform or justice
- Previous experience with the United Nations, particularly UNDP
- Experience working in North Africa or the Middle East
- Knowledge of Arabic
