Job Description

Supports UNICEF Mozambique social and behavior change work by planning, coordinating and monitoring evidence-based communication and community engagement activities. The officer works with partners to strengthen programme learning, capacity building and emergency response that advance positive practices for children.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Plan social and behavior change activities
  • Coordinate community engagement and partner collaboration
  • Monitor programme implementation and behavioural evidence
  • Support capacity building and knowledge transfer
  • Contribute to humanitarian and emergency-response programming

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social services, communications, behavioural science or a related field
  • At least two years of social and behavior change or community-engagement experience
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with a UN system agency or organization
  • Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
