Job Description

Reconciles IOM USRAP travel-loan accounts in Washington, matching bank activity to programme systems and resolving discrepancies. The associate manages receivables, disputes, settlements and audit records while applying U.S. financial regulations, data-protection rules and protection-mainstreaming standards.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and monthly bank and accounts-receivable reconciliations
  • Match bank transactions to Collect! and verify WAVE reports
  • Investigate variances, returned payments, overpayments and timing differences
  • Support settlements, payment arrangements, loan cancellations and credit-bureau actions
  • Manage debt disputes and prepare documented responses
  • Maintain audit evidence, e-filing records and reconciliation procedures

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or a related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or secondary education with at least six years
  • At least two years each in office management, accounting or bookkeeping, and billing and collections
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Fair Debt Collection Practices Act certification
  • Working knowledge of another official United Nations language
