Overview

The associate leads implementation of labour-mobility and employment initiatives in Tajikistan, coordinating budgets, evidence, reporting, capacity building and stakeholder relationships to strengthen safe migration, economic inclusion and the Migration Solutions Unit’s programme portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of labour-mobility and employment initiatives against approved plans
  • Analyse implementation challenges and recommend adjustments to delivery modalities
  • Research and present migration, employment, policy and legislative developments
  • Monitor expenditure, verify available funds and maintain project budget records
  • Coordinate financial, administrative and technical project delivery
  • Plan and conduct capacity-building workshops for internal and external partners
  • Prepare correspondence, briefings, presentations and donor-compliant reports
  • Supervise staff and maintain liaison with government, donors, UN agencies and civil society

Requirements

  • School diploma with seven years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in a listed relevant field with five years of professional experience
  • Experience liaising with government authorities, international institutions, UN agencies and non-governmental organisations
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, Tajik and Russian
