Senior Project Associate (Migration Policy)

Coordinates migration-governance projects and policy engagement for IOM Cameroon, integrating research, data and UN planning frameworks while managing budgets, reporting, capacity building and partnerships with government, UN agencies, donors and civil society across national and regional processes.

• Lead project implementation, monitor delivery and adjust work plans to changing field conditions
• Compile and analyse cross-unit data and harmonise reporting with government expectations
• Monitor budgets and coordinate financial, administrative and technical project delivery
• Plan and deliver capacity-building workshops for internal and external partners
• Coordinate with authorities, UN agencies, donors and civil society through meetings and policy dialogue
• Prepare correspondence, briefings, presentations and narrative and financial reports
• Document good practices and develop procedures, policies, concept papers and new project inputs
• Integrate Common Country Analysis and UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework processes
• Supervise, guide and train reporting staff

• High school diploma with seven years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law or a related field with five years of relevant experience
• Experience liaising with government, international institutions, UN agencies and non-governmental organisations
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, displaced people, trafficking survivors or other vulnerable groups
• Experience working with governments, UN agencies or international organisations on migration policy
• Experience in inter-agency coordination, stakeholder engagement and policy dialogue
• Background in project management, capacity building and results-based programming
• Fluency in French

• Initial contract duration is six months
• Special short-term graded appointment
• Reports directly to the Chief of Mission
