Overview
Leads FAO’s independent ethics function in Rome, advising management and personnel on conflicts, disclosures and conduct. The officer develops ethics strategy and training, manages whistleblower-retaliation reviews, oversees office resources and risk, reports to governing bodies and represents FAO in inter-agency forums.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethics strategy, policies, compliance tools, outreach and training
- Provide confidential advice on conflicts of interest, gifts, outside activities and standards of conduct
- Administer disclosure and whistleblower-protection processes and report on ethics-office performance
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in law, public administration, human resources, social sciences or a related field
- Ten years of ethics, compliance and conflicts-of-interest experience in an international or multilateral setting
- Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another official FAO language
- Experience in more than one location or area of work
