Responsibilities
- Lead the Advisory Services and Financial Disclosure Unit
- Provide confidential advice to UN staff and management on ethics standards and applicable frameworks
- Develop position papers, reports, presentations and staff briefings on ethics and integrity
- Conduct pre-appointment conflict-of-interest reviews for senior positions
- Administer and oversee the UN financial disclosure programme and confidential tracking systems
- Manage external service provider engagement and financial disclosure service agreements
- Support policy coherence, standard setting and Ethics Panel of the United Nations work
Requirements
- Advanced degree in law, organisational ethics, public or business administration with a significant focus on public sector or administrative ethics, or another relevant field, or first-level degree with two additional years of relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in public administration, human resources management, administrative law, ethics, compliance, staff misconduct and investigation, employee relations, risk management, audit, anti-corruption or related areas in a governmental or public sector organisation
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing confidential ethics advice
- Experience engaging with senior officials, including preparing and delivering briefings
- English is required
