Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert in staff litigation and settlement negotiations
- Conduct legal and factual research on risks and strategies
- Advise Human Resources on claims, grievances and requests for review
- Manage litigation files and draft legal-risk memoranda
- Prepare submissions for internal appeals and ILOAT disputes
- Develop procedures and tools for employment litigation disputes
- Provide legal advice on employment law and public administrative law
- Supervise paralegal work on staff litigation
Requirements
- Advanced university degree or equivalent in Law with emphasis in public international law
- At least five years of experience as a lawyer in international civil service law, public international law or law of international organisations
- Fluency in English or French
- Enhanced security screening is required
- Only professional experience supported by official proof of employment will be considered
