Responsibilities

  • Organise, supervise and provide legal research on Notices and Diffusions review and publication
  • Lead drafting and review of legal memoranda, guidelines, practice repositories, SOPs, policy papers, reports and resolutions
  • Draft and review communications with member countries on Notices and Diffusions
  • Prepare background materials and participate in meetings with member-country representatives
  • Organise, supervise and prepare materials for legal training on Notices and Diffusions
  • Provide legal training to INTERPOL officials, National Central Bureaus and law-enforcement officials
  • Prepare and participate in internal meetings, working groups and international conferences
  • Represent the organisation in conferences and participate in joint initiatives with other organisations

Requirements

  • Law enforcement or governmental official status within an INTERPOL member country
  • Degree in law, preferably in international law
  • At least five years of working experience as a lawyer
  • Sound knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of international law, preferably international cooperation in criminal matters, international criminal law or international human rights law
  • Proficiency in English
  • Basic security clearance
