Responsibilities

  • Support member countries in detecting and identifying terrorist-group members, facilitators and maritime-security threats
  • Monitor and analyse terrorist, maritime and trafficking intelligence and promote intelligence sharing among member countries
  • Prepare intelligence reports on evolving threats for operational and strategic decision-making
  • Design and coordinate cross-border intelligence-led operations and advise projects on INTERPOL capabilities
  • Build member-country capacity through training, working groups, conferences and information-sharing initiatives
  • Research and promote technologies that support prevention and investigation of terrorism and maritime crime
  • Develop partnerships and professional networks with national and international law-enforcement bodies

Requirements

  • Three to four years of university or specialised higher education in counter-terrorism, justice, international relations, maritime security or a related field, or 10 years of relevant experience without that education
  • Senior-level law-enforcement training
  • At least 3 years of counter-terrorism investigation experience, with maritime crime experience or complex transnational organised-crime experience
  • Extensive law-enforcement experience in counter-terrorism or serious organised-crime investigations or intelligence
  • Experience in maritime investigations
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Willingness to work overtime when operationally required
