School Principal

Leads inclusive education, staff development and school operations across potential UNRWA duty stations in Jerusalem, Ramallah or Jericho. The principal supervises teaching quality, maintains safe learning environments, manages enrolment, records, budgets and resources, and engages parents and communities.

Department: Education Programme, West Bank Field Office

• Assess staff training needs and lead school-based professional development
• Supervise teaching staff and manage professional performance
• Manage delivery of inclusive education for all students
• Engage parents and communities in monitoring educational quality
• Oversee pupil registration, records and education data entry
• Manage school budgets, finances and resources under UNRWA procedures
• Maintain an inclusive, safe and effective learning environment
• Lead pupil assessment and school monitoring practices

• University degree in a school-related subject plus professional teacher training, or a university degree plus a higher diploma or advanced degree in education
• At least seven years of progressively responsible satisfactory teaching experience
• UN Language Framework Level II English and Level I Arabic across reading, writing, listening and speaking
• Current UNRWA internal candidate status
• Residence in the West Bank or Jerusalem within commuting distance and authorisation to work

• Roster recruitment for potential posts in Jerusalem, Ramallah or Jericho
• One-year fixed-term appointment includes probation and may be extended
• Monthly basic salary is USD 1,592.60, payable in Jordanian dinars
