Responsibilities
- Manage daily recruitment services and ensure vacancy materials comply with post descriptions
- Coordinate technical tests and monitor application screening against established criteria
- Prepare interviews, serve on panels and complete local recruitment reports
- Guide candidates and advise field human resources leadership on recruitment issues
- Contribute to annual recruitment planning, guidelines and selection procedures
- Produce recruitment statistics on rosters, new incumbents and shortlisted candidates
- Coordinate vacancy outreach with missions, non-governmental organisations and national services
- Oversee development of candidate assessment tools with hiring offices
Requirements
- University degree in human resources management, public administration, business administration or a related field
- At least five years of progressively responsible human resources experience including two years in recruitment and succession planning at supervisory level
- Internal UNRWA candidate residing in the West Bank or Jerusalem within commuting distance of the duty station
- Valid authorisation to work in the West Bank or Jerusalem at the time of application
- English at UN Level II and Arabic at UN Level III

- Monthly basic salary is USD 1,592.60 payable in JOD at the UN exchange rate
- Fixed-term appointment is for one year including probation, with possible extension
- Provident fund, medical insurance, annual leave and eligible dependency benefits are provided
- Eligible staff may receive a Jerusalem allowance
