Job Description

Supports UNODA's publications, outreach and common services team in Vienna through multimedia production, public engagement and event coverage. The intern will create communication materials, videos and data visualisations, update digital and e-learning content, contribute to social-media campaigns and help organise in-person, hybrid and online events that advance disarmament education.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design digital and printed communication materials including presentations, infographics, brochures, posters and publications
  • Edit and produce videos, podcasts and audio content
  • Create data visualisations and support UX/UI optimisation of websites and office products
  • Update, localise and quality-assure e-learning materials for disarmament and non-proliferation education
  • Provide research and editing support for learning-content development including AI-enabled tools
  • Develop public-outreach campaigns and visual and written content for webpages and social media
  • Publish content on websites and education platforms and monitor social-media engagement
  • Support the substantive and logistical organisation and coverage of in-person, hybrid and online events

Role Requirements

  • Enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme, or enrolment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree programme at minimum bachelor's level
  • Computer literacy in standard software applications
  • Proficiency in standard office software, especially MS Office 360
  • Proficiency in graphic-design editing software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva and Trello
  • Experience with photo and video editing
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience using learning management systems and e-learning software such as Articulate 360
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language
