Job Description

Supports WHO Kuwait’s public-health programme work, with emphasis on substance-use response and broader health-system priorities. The role contributes research, technical coordination, knowledge products, monitoring and advocacy with Ministry of Health focal points and other national stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical meetings and support coordination with public-health stakeholders
  • Review background materials on substance use, health systems and priority public-health topics
  • Prepare presentations, briefs and reports for internal and external audiences
  • Collect, organise and conduct basic analysis of information on public-health priorities
  • Coordinate technical-assistance activities and correspondence with Ministry of Health focal points
  • Monitor implementation progress and compile programme updates, dashboards and technical reports

Role Requirements

  • Experience in coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring or evaluation of health programmes
  • Excellent drafting, formulation and reporting skills
  • English proficiency
  • Nationality of Andorra, Croatia, Estonia, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, San Marino or Slovenia

Desired Criteria

  • Experience analysing and drafting technical health documents and reports
  • Previous internship in public health, emergency preparedness, disaster management or pandemic prevention and control
