Overview
Manages UNEP’s Circular Cities Beyond Plastics project across six Caribbean and Latin American cities. The role coordinates partners, budgets, procurement, monitoring and technical support to help cities adopt circular-economy approaches and reduce marine plastic pollution.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project activities
- Draft and manage agreements with project partners
- Provide technical support to cities adopting circular-economy approaches
- Develop city-level monitoring methods and indicators
- Organise steering committee consultations and represent the project externally
- Manage budgets, funding, procurement and implementing-agency reporting
- Lead field missions and guide consultants, officials and partners
- Report progress, challenges, opportunities and lessons to governance bodies
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in environmental or natural-resource management, conservation, management or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible national and regional experience in environmental or natural-resource management or a related area
- Demonstrated project-management and stakeholder-coordination experience
- Fluent written and spoken English
