Overview

The coordinator will lead WFP’s Sri Lanka humanitarian Macro Grant, integrating cash transfers, anticipatory action, shelter and data coordination while managing donor accountability, government and partner engagement, monitoring, risks, staff, sustainability and emergency-delivery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the humanitarian Macro Grant across all programme sectors
  • Integrate cash transfers, anticipatory-action triggers, shelter items and disaster preparedness
  • Oversee conditional transfers, pre-financing thresholds and delivery mechanisms
  • Coordinate government bodies, UN partners, NGOs and technical working groups
  • Maintain results-based monitoring, indicator tracking and donor reporting
  • Identify operational and fiduciary risks and implement contingency measures
  • Build government and partner capability for preparedness and anticipatory action
  • Supervise technical staff and implement sustainability and asset-transfer plans

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in international development, political science, economics or a related field, or a first degree with additional relevant experience
  • At least seven years of progressively responsible project-management and coordination experience
  • At least three years of experience in cash-based transfers or anticipatory-action programming
  • Familiarity with food security, logistics and disaster preparedness
