Program Engineer

Supports IOM reconstruction work in Chuuk after Typhoon Sinlaku by preparing technical documentation, reviewing construction plans, supporting procurement and monitoring contractor compliance for public infrastructure and housing projects.

Department: IOM Coordination Office for the North Pacific

• Develop technical documentation for construction projects with engineering and construction leads
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, schedules, bills of quantities and cost estimates
• Monitor contractor compliance with technical contract requirements
• Support quality control through review of reports and material specifications
• Prepare construction-related procurement documents and technical bid evaluations
• Compile and report reconstruction project status information
• Participate in duty travel teams for project implementation

• Master degree in civil engineering, architecture or a related field with two years of relevant experience, or university degree with four years of relevant experience
• Certification as a licensed professional engineer
• Experience in construction engineering and contract management
• Experience in design, planning and implementation of civil design projects
• Fluency in English is required

• Internationally recruited professional staff are required to be mobile
