Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and monitoring of WASH infrastructure and service activities in public markets
  • Participate in technical assessments and analysis of data for WASH activities
  • Support intervention planning and cost estimates
  • Draft progress reports, identify implementation gaps and propose corrective measures
  • Prepare correspondence, notes, charts, statistical tables, presentations and reference documents
  • Verify construction works and activities meet quality standards before final payment
  • Communicate regularly with beneficiary communities on WASH objectives and expected results
  • Collaborate with local leaders and community organisations to support acceptance and ownership

Requirements

  • University degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, geology or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience, or secondary education in those fields with at least five years
  • Experience designing and implementing WASH infrastructure and activities, including procurement, contract management and provider monitoring
  • Experience implementing and monitoring field activities
  • Experience in hygiene promotion
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to coordinate basic community follow-up with hygiene-promotion staff
  • Fluency in French and Haitian Creole
