Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical design, planning and implementation of reconstruction works
- Review engineering designs, construction drawings and bills of quantities
- Coordinate stakeholders including government agencies, contractors, communities and donors
- Monitor schedules, risks, site inspections, safety audits and environmental assessments
- Maintain quality assurance and quality control systems across reconstruction sites
- Supervise construction foremen, community workers and technical staff
- Provide technical advice during tender evaluations, contractor selection and contract negotiations
- Prepare reports and coordinate audits, evaluations and reviews of reconstruction activities
Requirements
- Master's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with seven years
- Experience managing large-scale donor-funded reconstruction programmes
- Strong experience in post-disaster reconstruction and resilient infrastructure
- Track record managing large field teams of more than 20 staff
- Fluency in written and spoken English
