Procurement Officer

Runs procurement and food-quality activities for WFP Chad, managing tenders, bid evaluations, contracts and supplier performance while coordinating food-safety assurance, technical specifications, incident follow-up, reporting and emergency readiness across food, goods and service purchases.

• Run tenders, evaluate bids, negotiate and award food, goods and service contracts
• Compile and analyse food-quality and food-safety data and reports
• Coordinate procurement with programme, logistics, ICT and administration teams
• Apply emergency-preparedness practices and support urgent food responses
• Provide food-quality assurance and technical input to specifications and contracts
• Monitor supplier quality certificates, compliance and emerging food-safety risks
• Investigate food-safety incidents and document preventive lessons and solutions
• Assess supplier and inspection-company performance and agree improvement plans
• Support food-technology and quality monitoring for cash and voucher activities

• Master's degree in economics, logistics, business administration, engineering, food technology or a related field
• At least one year of professional procurement experience
• Experience with routine procurement of food, goods and services
• Experience in food-quality management and supplier-cost reporting
• Experience coordinating procurement with logistics, ICT, administration or other teams
• French proficiency at level C and English at level B
