Job Description

Manage the private-sector pillar of the Jordan chapter of the Surging Women’s Employment Flagship Initiative, expanding Women’s Empowerment Principles engagement and helping companies improve women’s employment, workplace equality and gender-responsive procurement.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the private-sector pillar under the Jordan chapter
  • Develop workplans, roadmaps and monitoring frameworks aligned with the employment goal
  • Build partnerships with companies, government counterparts and business associations
  • Expand and reactivate Women’s Empowerment Principles signatories in priority sectors
  • Design training and provide tailored advisory support to participating companies
  • Support implementation of the National Gender Seal with KACE
  • Coordinate Jordan activities with relevant regional private-sector initiatives
  • Support preparation of the annual Arab States Private Sector Forum

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree in economics, international collaboration, social sciences or a relevant field, or first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience implementing, monitoring and reporting programmes related to gender and the private sector
  • Experience engaging the private sector for women’s economic empowerment in Jordan
  • Experience providing advisory support to the private sector on women’s economic empowerment
  • Experience providing capacity building and coordinating with private-sector and civil-society stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Arabic

  • Experience working with the United Nations
