Summary of Responsibilities

  • Advise senior government leaders and agencies on policy innovation using human-centred methods
  • Design, prototype, test and iterate scalable policy solutions
  • Create journey maps, service blueprints and visual tools to guide policy development
  • Facilitate co-creation workshops with government, civil society and communities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research and translate findings into policy recommendations
  • Build design-led innovation capacity through training, mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Develop partnerships, resource-mobilisation opportunities and local innovation networks
  • Integrate gender analysis into policy recommendations, programming and experimentation

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree in a listed relevant field with five years of qualifying experience, or bachelor's degree with seven years
  • Professional experience in innovation management, design research and international development
  • Experience working effectively in teams with diverse cultural and academic backgrounds
  • Advanced use of office software, spreadsheets, databases and web-based management systems
  • Fluency in English and Dzongkha

Desired Criteria

  • Additional experience in qualitative social research, human-centred design, user experience, behavioural insights or foresight
  • Experience conducting field or remote qualitative research
  • Experience developing qualitative research tools and outputs
  • Experience designing policy experiments, validating hypotheses and testing prototypes
  • Experience applying innovation methods to complex public or private-sector challenges
  • Prior experience in a public or private-sector innovation lab
