China Policy Officer

Monitors political and security developments involving China and the Indo-Pacific, advises NATO leaders and committees, drafts policy and briefing material, coordinates Alliance and partner stakeholders, builds expert networks and represents the Indo-Pacific Section in meetings and public engagements.

Department: Political Affairs and Security Policy Division

• Monitor and assess developments in and around China for NATO
• Advise leadership and committees on China and Indo-Pacific policy
• Draft memoranda, speaking notes and background materials
• Coordinate policy with Allies, partners, commands and experts
• Represent the section at meetings, visits and conferences

• Relevant university degree
• Four years of diplomatic, policy-writing, security or defence experience involving China
• Strong knowledge of Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific security
• Advanced English or French and beginner proficiency in the other
• Nationality of a NATO member country
